The Vision Behind CloudyDays Gaming

At CloudyDays Gaming, we're reimagining what browser-based strategy games can be. Our mission is to create deeply engaging tycoon and strategy experiences that respect your time, run smoothly on any device, and never force you to spend money to enjoy the full game. We believe that great gameplay should be accessible to everyone, whether you're playing on a high-end gaming PC or a budget smartphone.

The Mechanics of Modern Tycoon Gaming

Our games blend classic tycoon management with real-time strategy elements. In Campground Tycoon, you start with a single plot of land in Nova Scotia and gradually expand your empire by purchasing adjacent plots, constructing various types of camping lots, and building amenities that attract more visitors. The game features a sophisticated economy system where you must balance construction costs, upgrade investments, and revenue generation from campers who pay rent over time.

The 3D campground view, powered by Unity WebGL technology, allows you to see your creation come to life. Watch as RVs pull into your lots, campers set up tents, and visitors use your amenities. This visual feedback creates a satisfying loop where your strategic decisions have immediate, tangible results. The build mode lets you place structures with precision, while the upgrade system ensures there's always a clear path to progression.

WarCommand takes a different approach, focusing on military strategy and resource management. Players build bases, train modern military units including infantry, tanks, and helicopters, and compete for resources on a shared world map. The gathering system requires strategic thinking—send troops to resource nodes, wait for them to collect materials, then return to base to deposit your haul. Offline gathering means your marches continue even when you're not actively playing, respecting the reality that players have lives outside the game.

Fair Monetization and Player-First Design

We've seen too many free-to-play games that gate essential features behind paywalls or create artificial frustration to push purchases. Our approach is different. Every game we create is 100% playable without spending a cent. Premium features offer convenience and cosmetic enhancements, but never competitive advantages. On mobile, we implement rewarded video ads that give players the choice—watch an ad to earn in-game currency, or don't. It's entirely optional.

This player-first philosophy extends to our development process. We actively listen to community feedback, implement quality-of-life improvements based on player suggestions, and maintain transparent communication about updates and changes. When we adjust game balance or add new features, we explain our reasoning and remain open to further iteration based on how changes perform in the real world.

Upcoming Features and Roadmap

Our development roadmap is ambitious. For Campground Tycoon, we're working on multiplayer features that will let you visit friends' campgrounds, a seasonal events system that changes gameplay throughout the year, and expanded building options including cabins, glamping sites, and recreational facilities. We're also developing a reputation system that unlocks special camper types and premium visitors as your campground grows.

WarCommand will soon feature alliance systems, allowing players to form coalitions, coordinate attacks, and compete for territory control. We're implementing PvP combat mechanics that reward tactical thinking over raw spending power, and a research tree that lets you specialize your military strategy. The world map will expand with new zones, higher-level content, and special events that bring the community together.

ATC Sim continues to evolve with new aircraft types, weather systems that add complexity to ground operations, and an airport customization system. We're also exploring cross-game progression rewards, where achievements in one CloudyDays game unlock bonuses in others, creating a unified gaming ecosystem.

Beyond our current titles, we have two more games in active development and several in the concept phase. Each new release will maintain our core values: browser-based accessibility, fair monetization, deep strategic gameplay, and respect for player time and intelligence. We're building a portfolio of games that players can enjoy for years, not just weeks.

Latest Updates

January 2025

Campground Tycoon Beta Launch

We're excited to announce the public beta launch of Campground Tycoon, our newest browser-based tycoon game. This release includes the complete core gameplay loop: claim plots on the Nova Scotia map, build RV lots and tent sites, construct amenities like shower houses and pools, and watch your campground come to life in stunning 3D. The game features real-time income generation, offline earnings, and a progression system that rewards strategic planning. Mobile players can download the Android APK for enhanced performance and access to rewarded video ads for daily bonuses. We've implemented auto-save functionality that syncs your progress to our servers every 30 seconds, ensuring you never lose your hard-earned empire. Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with players praising the satisfying build mechanics and the visual appeal of seeing campers arrive at their lots.

WarCommand Offline Gathering System

One of the most requested features has finally arrived: persistent gathering marches that continue even when you log out. Previously, closing the game would cancel any active gathering operations, forcing players to stay online for extended periods. Now, when you send troops to collect resources from map nodes, those marches persist across sessions. Log back in hours or even days later, and your troops will have continued gathering, returning to base automatically when their load capacity is full. This system respects player time and eliminates the need to keep the game open in a background tab. We've also improved the march UI to clearly show gathering progress, estimated completion times, and resource yields. The update includes better pathfinding for marches, reduced server load through optimized march tracking, and a notification system that alerts you when marches complete (if you're online).

WarCommand UI Improvements and Balance Changes

This update focused on quality-of-life improvements and game balance refinements based on extensive player feedback. The march panel now displays more detailed information including exact timers, resource capacity, and troop composition. We've redesigned the training interface to make it clearer which resources are required for each unit type, and added visual indicators for when you have insufficient materials. Balance changes include adjusting infantry training costs to use supplies and steel at lower tiers, with electronics required only for advanced units. This creates a clearer progression path and makes early-game troop training more accessible. We've also tuned gathering rates to be more rewarding, increased base resource production, and adjusted building upgrade costs to feel more balanced. The update includes numerous bug fixes, performance optimizations for lower-end devices, and improved mobile touch controls.

November 2024

ATC Sim Major Update: New Aircraft and Efficiency System

ATC Sim received a substantial content update introducing three new aircraft types, an efficiency rating system, and expanded upgrade options. The new aircraft include regional jets that require medium runways, cargo planes with unique taxiing requirements, and private jets that pay premium fees but demand priority handling. The efficiency system tracks your performance based on successful operations, collision avoidance, and minimal delays. Higher efficiency ratings increase your passive income multiplier and unlock advanced airport upgrades. We've added new terminal expansions, additional taxiway configurations, and a second runway option for experienced players. The update also includes a tutorial system for new players, improved pause functionality, and better visual feedback for aircraft status. Performance optimizations ensure smooth gameplay even with multiple aircraft on screen, and we've implemented local save backups to prevent progress loss.
